CARBORIGINAL 250 M³ 100/250 MM Ø 14.5 CM
An extraction system ensures that the warm air is carried away. To purify the air, it is necessary to use a filter. The carbon filters of Carboriginal are ideal for the removal of unpleasant odors.
A carbon filter is a metal cylinder filled with active carbon. Since carbon has the property to absorb odors, an odor only needs to pass through the carbon layer to disappear. The purpose of a carbon filter is to always dispose the air inlet and/or discharge of annoying odors or harmful gases. Some examples where carbon filters are successfully used are: airports, clean rooms, hospitals, data centers, kitchens, museums, archives and offices.
Over time, the functioning of the active carbon particles will decrease. We therefore recommend replacing the filter cloth for a lasting good result after 4 or 5 months.
- Flange size: Ø100 mm;
- Height: 25 cm;
- Diameter: 14.5 cm;
- Weight: 1.5 kg.
The principle of filtering is fairly simple; the active carbon of the filter neutralises negative odors. Activated carbon is a very porous carbon made of fiber-containing material, such as: peat, wood, coconut shells and fruit kernels. The carbon filters contain carbon with a well-developed pore structure, allowing the filters to absorb a large range of organic components from gas and air flows.
When selecting the capacity of the filter, it is important to take into account the capacity of the exhaust fan. The fan should be at least 20% less than the carbon filter. When using a suction fan of 600 cubic meters per hour you must use at least one carbon filter of 800 cubic meters.
The low density carbon used for Carboriginal Airfilters is naturally mined and sieved into chunks of the required diameter. These chunks have a low weight and many more air ducts than the high density version. As a result, the low density grains have a larger filter capacity, it takes longer before they are saturated and are very suitable for use in a humid environment.
Inner and outer jacket
The perforations in the steel outer wall are larger than with most existing carbon filters. As a result, the extraction equipment does not have to work as hard, as a result of which it is less susceptible to wear and tear. The perforated inner and outer casings have a relative air passage of 55%.
Carboriginal Airfilters are packed after production in an airtight plastic protective cover and a sturdy cardboard box with pre-punched handles.
The carbon filters of Carboriginal are up to 1 meter long with a maximum diameter of 50 cm and made from a single piece of steel. The capacity of these filters is larger and they are stronger. Moreover, they are lighter than most other carbon filters and therefore easier to use.
